Gerrit is the President and Owner of QSA, where he focuses on building a dependable organization around the people who deliver life safety and security systems every day. His role is to ensure customers have a partner they can rely on – one that shows up, follows through, and stands behind the work.
Before joining QSA, Gerrit spent his career leading and advising small and mid-sized businesses through periods of growth, operational change, and complex decision-making. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Chelsea Avondale, a Canadian insurance technology company, where he led core operations, organizational redesign, and multiple fundraising rounds.
Earlier in his career, Gerrit worked in KPMG’s Transactions Advisory practice in Canada and NYC, advising business owners on acquisitions, valuations, and business transitions. That background shapes how he approaches customers today: listen first, respect the expertise of the technical teams, and take long-term responsibility for outcomes.
At QSA, Gerrit works closely with the team to remove friction for customers and ensure accountability when it matters most. He focuses on building the structure, leadership, and partnerships that allow QSA to serve customers well over the long term.
Gerrit holds a Master of Science in Finance & Private Equity from the London School of Economics and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Ottawa. He and his family have long-standing ties to New Brunswick and are based in Fredericton.
